God Is My Dwelling Place

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place In all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Psalm 90:1-2

Extroversion and introversion are all about how your brain is wired. Some people get charged up being in large groups and being alone is draining. For others, it’s the exact opposite. No matter how you recharge, you want a place that feels like home.

Home is that place that has your heart; the place you long for when you are down. It might look like the comfort of your favorite chair or being surrounded by a group of people that ‘get you’. But when was the last time you saw God as your home?
If you are an extrovert, you can be at home knowing He surrounds you and if you are an introvert, it is comforting to know He also lives within His children.

He is our sanctuary, our retreat in the world’s midst. He accepts you as you are while encouraging you to grow in Him always mindful of what you are ready to learn next with His strength. He knows you fully, every last detail of your life, your thoughts, actions, and words. Nothing is a surprise to Him. That shame you are feeling; He wants to wash it away. That condemnation you are under; He wants to toss it as far as the east is from the west. The hopelessness that overwhelms you; He wants to replace with His unshakable joy. You only need to come home.
